Mum tries out Joli OS 1.2 (2011) is the 12th episode in the OSFirstTimer series.
Description[edit | edit source]
Diana tries a cloud operating system for the first time in her life. She doesn't hate it but at the same time she doesn't love it. Being able to access the operating system from a web browser, usb, local pc installation, iPad, iPhone and many other places is a plus for her. It unfortunately is not very intuitive however and she needed my help quite a bit. The video is long due her her interest in cloud operating systems since I had to show it running on a variety of devices.
Demonstrated running on the following devices: iPad 2 iPhone 4S Desktop computer both in browser and on bootable USB
Tasks Given: - What time is it? - Write, save and open a text document - What's 48x32 - Change the desktop background - Change the theme - Install an application - Turn off your computer
The mother in this video only ever uses Windows XP running with the classic win95 theme. Would you like to see her try out Linux, Mac, Windows or other operating systems through history such as AmigaOS? Then give your suggestions in the comments section.
Give this video lots of likes, views, favorites and comments if you want my mum to try out other operating systems. I am open to any operating system suggestions you give especially if these videos go semi-viral (over 100,000 views). This channel is dedicated to me "introducing" people (mum, dad, me) to different operating systems they have never used before and leaving them to suffer in confusion struggling to do anything in an unknown computer environment... or see if these other operating systems are better than Microsoft Windows.
