OSTalk
OSTalk (Formerly the OSFirstTimer Official Forums) was a messaging board created by Philip in March 2013, in an effort to unite his community. Unfortunately towards the end of 2013 some bad blood was formed with another forum and led to a huge trolling war, DDoS attacks, and many users, especially Philip, were publicly doxxed.
Philip decided the forums were more trouble than it was worth and handed it down to the 2 semi-admins V0rTeX and phillips1012, who promoted KomputerKid to admin, and subsequently moved the community off of freeforums and to a dedicated self hosted forum called techTalk, in an attempt to have better control and curtail attacks.
At this time, Philip was working on a new forum for ShiftOS, a new game he was developing.
The flame war, DDoS attacks, doxxing, and what exactly caused it has been a matter of speculation among the veterans of the forums for years. TechTalk and ShiftOS eventually fell through & closed up within a year. Thankfully, due to oversight by V0rTeX, the databases were backed up safely, and archives were spun up in 2023.
