According to the '''History of OSFirstTimer''', his exploration into operating systems began when Phillip asked for a computer to play a math game at home. Diana and Phillip arrived at a computer store and bought a computer with Windows XP on it (it is unknown whether it was Professional or Home Edition). They also looked for the math game ''Math Blaster: I'm Search of Spot'', but the store did not have it. However, there were several games that were compatible with Windows 95 and Windows 98. They bought a few of these games even though they did not know that they could run these games in compatibility mode. So, for several years Phillip explored Windows XP and what it could do.

However, after a few years he received a BSOD and got another PC with Windows Vista on it. He did explore Vista too, but not as much as XP. He would also play games on the internet as well. He then found out about a program called Virtual PC and downloaded it with a copy of Windows 95. He explored each of these versions of Windows, making several virtual machines running several versions of Microsoft Windows. He also became interested in the development of Windows Vista and downloaded the build releases for Windows 7.

Phillip Adams is the host, director, and OS preparer for the OSFirstTimer YouTube Channel. He is also the creator of the time-travel game Histacom and the famous "make your own OS" game called ShiftOS. He is currently with his family including Diana Adams, his mother and OS tester.
