As his main computer, Phil currently uses an Mwave custom-built PC, which the specs are listed of in OSFirstTimer's About section. A Samsung Galaxy S10+ phone, with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space, was used as his phone and camera, until he replaced it with a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 in December 2021. His previous computer, an Alienware Area 51 from 2014, was replaced by his current one due to failing hardware, and the PC before that, a Lenovo ThinkStation was used but replaced with the Alienware PC due to increasing slowdown as well as increasing hardware incompatibility with newer software. He also used to own a Microsoft Surface Pro 3, but he sold it in 2019, due to his phone being capable enough to replace a portable computer for him. ▼

On May 12, 2008, Philip started a project named Massive Archive, in which he tries to vlog almost anything every day, including his thoughts, activities and family-related things. He started uploading some of these vlogs in early 2015, but before that, he did not have the intention of making it public. In February 2019, he even decided to do a series named OSFT Archive on the channel OSFT Historic VLogs. It is a summary/commentary series of the vlogs contained in the archive, where Philip compares his past and present self and points out other differences and bad/unprofessional things. The series' episodes represent each month since the beginning of the archive (e.g.: Episode 1 - May 2008, Episode 2 - June 2008, etc.).

A month after creating OSFirstTimer in 2012, Philip started the TerrifiedMum YouTube channel where he gets Diana to play scary games as decided by Phil or requested by the viewers. As of November 2018, the channel is inactive. The channel started with a brief playthrough of the original Slenderman game, then went on to other titles, including Oculus Rift games. The content later expanded to include a reaction video series named Diana Watches. TerrifiedMum last uploaded on August 14, 2017.

On the former channel, he made thumbnails and wrote descriptions for the videos she made. He was also featured in several videos of the Minecraft Let's Play series on that channel. Jasmine's channel has become inactive, as the last video published on the channel was on March 16th, 2019.
Diana's channel mostly consists of vlog-type videos, but also contains a prank video where she and her children prank her husband Ben, and used to also have a commercial-like skit video for the vitamin tablets by Berocca, which, albeit having been quite popular within the OSFirstTimer fanbase, is now no longer on the channel. The activity of the channel is unknown.
Controversy & Criticism
The earliest known controversy goes back to the video Top 3 Worst And Best Operating System User Interfaces (1985-2012) which was published in December 2012. At that time, people misunderstood the video for a World's Top 3 video and/or found the listed operating systems to only have been loosely tested out by Diana and Philip.
Back in April 2013, Philip published a prank video called OSFirstTimer - Talking About Operating Systems Prank on the OSFirstTimer channel, which got a substantial amount of backlash. The backlash has its roots leading back to 4chan, where users shared that video and described it mockingly. The main
Some viewers have mentioned in the past, that his videos are loosely prepared and that it still feels as if Diana/Ben and Phil are trying out operating systems and programs, and not just Diana or Ben themselves
Another controversy is his fanbase's action of doxxing Philip's current home address and/or phone number, although there is no report of Philip and his family having been
Up to this day, Philip and his parents had to do several long-term tasks and/or jobs, leading to Philip having
OSFirstTimer videos from 2022 onwards had a slight influx in comments and remarks both within and outside of YouTube regarding political affiliations of Philip and/or Diana. Furthermore, remarks have also been made on how videos seemed to leave an advertisement-like impression rather than being an actual review or tryout, albeit with most of those comments being mostly vague. Other comments, that did expand on these remarks, included claims such as Philip's mother Diana being advertised. It is believed that those more detailed claims of advertisement have been made due to the campaign, that has been going on at around the same time, of Diana having been a senate candidate for the Tasmania division within the United Australia Party for the 2022 Australian Senate Election. They added onto that theory, that Diana might potentially get a higher amount of votes within said election due to her viewers, while possibly also "deceiving" her audience to think of the party positively. This situation has also led to the departure of many editors for the OSFirstTimer Wiki, even leaving the public message on the main page behind, that they do not support said political activities. The Adams family then corrected factual information left within that public message later on.
Philip's series of videos, that started in 2023 and regard the topic of artificial intelligence, are also increasingly garnering negative feedback, with claims ranging from repetition of a topic that has been fading in popularity/favour to supporting a dangerous cause through positive exposure of it to a large audience, with the latter being a similar claim and feedback to what both Diana herself and some viewers in the comment section had of the video Mum Tries Out Tails OS 0.2.3 (2014) + Deep Web, albeit less nuanced or elaborated on in comparison to the Tails OS video.
